About Me

I am a Registered Counsellor (HPCSA) with a strong commitment to promoting emotional well-being through compassionate, ethical, and person-centred care.

My practice is built on a foundation of professional training and a deep-seated passion for helping individuals navigate life’s complexities. By combining evidence-based methods with a warm, empathetic partnership, I strive to provide a safe space where you can feel heard and empowered.

Zoe Cootee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Cum Laude) from the University of the Western Cape, and completed her Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology (BPsych Equivalent) at Cornerstone Institute, where she gained extensive hands-on experience during her supervised practicum. This included individual and group counselling, psychometric assessment within HPCSA scope, psychoeducation, and workshop facilitation in community-based and online contexts.

I chose counselling because of my passion for supporting individuals who are struggling with mental health challenges, life stressors, and emotional difficulties. I am deeply committed to creating safe and supportive spaces where people feel heard, validated, and empowered.

My work is guided by a belief in people's capacity for growth and change. I am motivated by the opportunity to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop practical skills to improve their well-being and quality of life.
